Pottery masterpiece and inspire
of the „Djordjevich“ workshop exists since 1927.
The master Djordjevich etablised this workshop
in Obrenovac. He run it untill 1957. when decide
to leave it over to his son Obrad Bane
Djordjevich, who develope this ancient handicraft
into real art. He give an authentic sign and
physiognomy to his studio as it is today. Since
1987. ap to now, the workshop run’s Bane’s son
Dragan Djordjevich.
The masters and there
apprentices got and still get an inspiration for
their work in old pottery technics and products.
Usefull, garden and decorative pottery always
found it’s own way to the castomers. Cognizable
stile and skill of work puts the „Djordjevich“
workshop on the top of the pottery offers.
So, the pottery
products growes one from another every day, made
on a pottery wheel and develope in a most
creative forms. Handmade is a most used technic
for making products of clay.
The „Djordjevich“
workshop is one of rare who keep this acient
hendicraft on this region.
It is a great
contribute to keep our cultural inheritance and
tradition.
